Simple Sesame Green Beans
Green beans are a super simple and healthy side dish, but sauteed with a little sesame oil, it is transformed into a chic and minimalistic culinary experience. Particularly if you have a very elaborate main dish, this is the perfect side dish to make your dinner menu cohesive and not overly complicated.

Cook time: 6 minutes
- 1 1/2 lbs. green beans, washed and trimmed
- 1 tbsp. wok or vegetable oil, 1 turn of the pan in a slow stream
- 1 tsp. dark sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steam green beans for 2 minutes over boiling water. Drain and run under cold water. In a large frying pan, heat sesame oil and pepper flakes. Toss in beans and cook for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and salt to taste. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
